Welcome to Spring Hill, Indiana.

About.

Spring Hill is a small, quiet community located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Incorporated in 1926, Spring Hill is one of the few “included towns” within Marion County, meaning it retains a level of local governance while still being part of the broader Indianapolis metropolitan government system.

With a population of just 95 residents, Spring Hill offers a peaceful residential environment surrounded by natural beauty. The town sits on a bluff overlooking the White River, just six miles from downtown Indianapolis. Known for its privacy, wooded lots, and scenic views, Spring Hill remains one of the most secluded neighborhoods in the area.

The original families that lived in Spring Hill were those of Frank B. Flanner, Matilda Cole, J. Edw. Krause, Wm. F. L. MacDougall, J. I. Holcomb, C. R. Strickland, John Stovall, Augustus Coburn, Virgil Akers, and John R. Brant. While the current population of the town is only 95, this is triple the original census of 28 people in 1926. (Marion Co. Commissioner 1926 Bk. 57, pg. 240).
